Leola Johnson Watson

Leola Johnson Watson, age 99, of 2245 Old NC Hwy 49, Asheboro died Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 4:00 PM at New Union United Methodist Church, 1293 Union Church Road, Asheboro with Rev. George W. Roberson and Rev. Jean Nall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Watson was a native of Conway, SC and was the former owner/operator of Watson Grocery until the late 1990's. She was a member of New Union United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B. Watson. She is survived by her daughters, Harriett Summey and Belinda Duval both of Asheboro, NC; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 3:00-4:00 PM at the church and other times at the home of her daughter, Harriett Summey, 3111 Old NC Hwy 49, Asheboro.
