Lena "Billie" Kinlaw

Mrs. Lena "Billie" McLamb Kinlaw passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro, NC. She was born March 25, 1922 in Johnston County, North Carolina, the daughter of Junius Vinson McLamb and Armatha Parker McLamb. She enjoyed years of golf, bridge and travel. Mrs. Kinlaw was a graduate of Rex Hospital School of Nursing and was a veteran of WWII. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Myris McLamb, Leo McLamb, Cleotha McLamb and Oswell McLamb and one sister, Clara McLamb Austin. Mrs. Kinlaw is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, Dr. James Brady Kinlaw, Sr. of the home; sons, Dr. Jim Kinlaw and wife Wendy of Asheboro, NC, Jerry Kinlaw and wife Judy of Asheboro, NC, Mike Kinlaw and wife Johnna of Altavista, VA; 3 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Grethel McLamb Boyette of Wilson, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 404 10th Street, Altavista, VA, their home for 53 years. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
