Lee " Rock " Groce, age 76, of 1362 Whispering Pine Dr., Randleman died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Mr. Groce was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Navy in the Korean War. He graduated from Danville Community College, retired as maintenance supervisor with Randolph County and a former instructor with RCC. He was owner of Lee's Heating & Air Conditioning and a member of Worthville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by one infant son and parents Ralph and Martha Groce.. He is survived by his wife: Louise Taylor Groce; son: Jeff Groce of Randleman, NC; daughter: Lynn Connor and husband Curtis of Randleman, NC; grandchildren; Nicole Connor and Andrew Connor and his wife Lindsey of Randleman, NC; great grandchild, Lucas of Randleman, NC; sisters: Ernestine Jessup and husband Glen of Randleman, NC, Margaret Stewart and her husband David of Franklinville, NC, Melinda Boyce and her husband Mike of Randleman, NC; brothers: J.D. Groce and his wife Sally, Ralph Groce and his wife Leann both of Randleman, NCThe family will receive friends Monday, October 5, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 11:00 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Pastor Jim Honeycutt and Rev. Keith Auman officiating.Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman, NC.Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 345 N.
