Larry Martin Sweatt

Larry Martin Sweatt, age 55, of Seagrove passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Randolph Hospital. Mr. Sweatt was born in Bennettsville, SC on March 18, 1961 to Landy and Bernice Lucas Sweatt. He was formerly employed with Asheboro Elastics for 18 years. Larry enjoyed fishing and was an avid Tarheel and Redskins fan. As he was unable to attend church on a regular basis due to his disabilities, Larry enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart on Sunday morning with his mom and dad. He is survived by his son, Stephen Sweatt; mother, Bernice Lucas Sweatt; sister, Vickie Auman and husband Scott of Seagrove; nieces and nephews, Abby Auman and fiancée Todd Hunsucker and their son Zack, Matthew Auman and wife Ashley and their children Brantley, Henley, and Beasley, Lauren Poole and husband Michael and their daughter, Paisley. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Society Hill Church of God, 378 Pressley Ave., Society Hill, SC with Rev. Larry Gainey officiating.
