Larry P. Shackelford

Larry Phillip Shackelford, age 68, of 302 E. Central Ave., Asheboro died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his home. Mr. Shackelford was a native of Snow Hill, NC, served in the US Army, member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired from Matlab in maintenance. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was an avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by his son, Arnold Robbins, daughter, Ginger Robbins, five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife: Carol Shackelford ,of the home; daughter: Sherry Moore and her husband, Terry of Snow Hill, NC; sons: Phillip Shackelford and his wife, Paula of Asheboro, David Robbins and his wife, Theresa of Randleman, Buddy Shackelford and his wife, Kim of Wilson; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at the home of Phillip Shackelford, 1824 Pleasant Street, Asheboro, NC. The funeral service will be Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 605 Worthville St., Randleman with Pastor John Miles officiating.
