Larry Gene Owen

Larry Gene Owen, age 75, of Asheboro died Friday, June 5, 2015 at Randolph Hospital. Mr. Owen was born January 4, 1940 the son of Charlie and Merle Wright Owen. Mr. Owen was a native of Asheboro and a 1958 graduate of West Moore High School. He served in the US Army and was retired from Luck's Beans of Seagrove. In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was devoted to his four cats. He is survived by his wife: Lola Mae Davis Owen; one sister: Doris O. Carter of Asheboro, NC; niece: Tammy May of Seagrove, NC; niece: Debbie Kearns of NY; nephew: Jimmy Carter of Smithfield, VA; nephew and his wife: Mike and Denise Carter of Valdese, NC and nephew: Charles Kearns of Robbins, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 12:45-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Otis Goins officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
