Larry Clyde "Sundance" Garner, Sr. age 63, formerly of 1706 Pleasant Union Rd., Trinity, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at his home.Sundance was a native of Asheboro and was formerly employed with Klopman Mills, Snow White and Garner Brothers. He was a deep sea fisherman at Pawley's Island and a "cockfighter" till the end. His hobbies were hunting and fishing and especially his game chickens which were in his thoughts to the very end. He also loved hanging out with J.R. and his buddies at the compound on Plainfield Church Road. Sundance will be missed by his family and his many friends of which he always said "we ride together Bubba." He was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah D. Garner and William C. "Bill" Garner, his sister, Brenda Trivette, and his brother, Ray "Sonny" Presnell. He is survived by his son, Larry C. Garner, Jr. and his wife Carolyn (Hunting Buddy); daughter, Danine Garner Arnold and her boyfriend Johnny Kennedy, longtime friend and cockfighting buddy of Sundance; granddaughters, Lisa McNeill, Amanda Garner, Maelee Arnold and Meadow Kennedy; great grandson, Dallas McNeill; stepmother, Barbara Garner; sisters, Phyllis Lanier, Sherry Chriscoe, and Lisa Atkinson and brother, Michael Garner.A gathering to celebrate the life of Sundance will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the home of his son, 1378 Moore Rd., Asheboro.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
