Larry Ray Cox, age 70 of Franklinville passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mr. Cox was born April 30, 1950 the son of Emmett and Mary Lee Coltrane Cox. Larry was a kindhearted person who loved his family dearly. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Larry was a hard worker and was always willing to help others. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Emmett Wayne Cox. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margie Hamlett Cox; daughters, Loretta (Jerry) Yonce of Randleman, Glenda Parker of Randleman; son, Larry Houston (Linda) Cox of Level Cross; special granddaughter, Felecia Yonce of Ramseur, Elizabeth Spencer (Justin) Hicks of Thomasville, Sabrina Cox of Trinity; special grandsons, Aaron Tabitha (Jack) White of Southport, James Parker of Randleman; 1 great grandson Luke Hunter White; sisters, Cindy (Elton) Caviness of Marion, Bonnie (Jeff) Purvis of Robbins, Betty Sue (Rogon) Walker of Seagrove; and brother, Jerry Lee Cox of Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 3:00 PM at New Hope Memorial Gardens, 3448 New Hope Church Road, Asheboro with Dr. Charles R. Fleshman Jr. officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service in the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry’s honor to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Dr., Asheboro, NC 27203, www.hospiceofrandolph.org The family would like to say thank you to the staff of the Randolph Hospice House for the loving care they provided for Larry.
