Lana Lynn Wilhoit

Mrs. Lana Nelson Wilhoit, age 48, of Neely Drive, Asheboro passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Asheboro, NC with Rev. Michael Holder and Rev. Susan Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.Mrs. Wilhoit was born October 5, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a homemaker and mother. For many years, she was an active member of the choir at the First United Methodist Church. She also was a volunteer at Victory Junction Gang Camp and Room at the Inn. She loved young children and music. She is survived by her husband, Robert Edmond Wilhoit; sons, Christopher Nelson Wilhoit of Wilmington, Robert Tyler Wilhoit of Charlotte; daughter, Lindsay Reynolds Wilhoit of Chapel Hill; mother, Barbara A. Mayer and her husband Daniel of Cameron; sisters, Shelly Morris, Angela Simms and her husband Ken, Jan Lea Kee all of Nashville, TN; brother, Kenneth Donald Terrell and his wife Nancy of Cameron; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
