Lacy Lloyd Reeder

Lacy Reeder, age 77, of Troy died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his home. Lacy was born November 25, 1936 at Moore County, NC, the son of Alfred Isley and Ada Owens Reeder. His home church was Bethel Church of God and was a retired employee with thirty-one years of service with Springs Mills. Lacy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 6 siblings: Wilbert Lee Reeder, Alvia Newton Reeder, Lewis Reeder, Ruth Paige, Edith Yow and Tracy Ralph Reeder. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years: Ann Greene Reeder of the home; children: Rev. Garry (Debbie) Reeder of Seagrove, Terry (Patty) Reeder of Asheboro, Lora Reeder Huhn of Star, Chris (Carol) Reeder of Asheboro, Lacy (Karen) Reeder, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; Grandchildren: Garry, II, Andy, Elizabeth, Cody, Robert, Patricia, Sydney, Kenan, Christine and Sean; 8 great grandchildren; brothers: Paul Reeder, Elsie Reeder and Dr. Alton Reeder; sisters: Dorothy Stone and Rachel Hancock. The family will receive friends Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Main Street Baptist Church, 2491 NC Hwy 24/27E, Biscoe with Pastor Jeff York and Maurice Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Seagrove.
