Lacy Martin Overton, age 87, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Overton was born in Randolph County on May 1, 1931 to Jimmy and Cornor Hall Overton. He was formerly employed in the construction industry. In addition to his parents, Lacy was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Overton. Lacy was a loving man to all who knew him.
He is survived by his stepson, Stuart Wilhelm of York, PA; brothers, Walter Overton of Asheboro and Clyde Overton of Moyock; sister, Minnie Hopkins of Asheboro; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lucille Morton of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A graveside service will follow on Saturday at 3:00 pm in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, 7811 Pisgah Covered Bridge Road in Asheboro with Rev. Faron Overton officiating.
