L. Austin Shaw

Lloyd Austin Shaw, age 83, of 449 Northhampton Dr., Asheboro died Monday, December 3, 2007 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Mr. Shaw was a native of Randolph County, an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a retired engineer with Union Carbide and was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Shaw. He is survived by daughter: Sandra Donald of Chapel Hill, NC; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating. A reception will be held at The Exchange, 204 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro following the graveside service.
