Kenneth LaVern Price

Kenneth LaVern "Jack" Price, age 77, of 653 Oak Leaf Rd., Apt. 8, Asheboro died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. No formal service is planned. Mr. Price was a native of Hillsdale, MI and was raised by his foster parents, Madeline and Vern Haskins. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Jack was retired from General Motors and was preceded in death by his brother Joe Price and his son-in-law Michael Mabe. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Newell Price; daughter, Lisa Mabe of Asheboro, NC; son, Bruce Price of Troy, MI; grandchildren, Krista Kiefer and Matthew Kiefer; brothers, James Price of North Adams, MI, Jerry Price of Jackson , MI, John Price of Osseo, MI, Larry Price of Hillsdale, MI, Dan Price of Hillsdale, MI; and sister, Jeannie Layman of Van Wert, OH. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Universal Health Care of Ramseur for the kindness and care given to Jack.
