Kenneth Emery "Ken" McClain, age 87, formerly of Flint, MI, Rochester, NY, Venice, FL, and 450 Mountain Top Dr., Asheboro, NC, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Ridolfi officiating.Mr. McClain was a native of Cadillac, Michigan and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a POW. He was retired from General Motors and was preceded in death by his brother, Ross McClain. He is survived by his wife, Ruth McClain of Asheboro, NC; sons, Jim McClain and his wife Betsy of Fairport, NY; Keith McClain and his wife Barb of Conesus, NY; Dale McClain and his wife Kathy of Asheboro, NC; exchange student son, Jorge Merino of Lima, Peru; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Singler of Fairview, MI, brother, James Lyle McClain of Flint, MI and sister, Doris Waldoch of Little Falls, MN.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Dale and Kathy McClain, 723 Graceland Dr., Asheboro, NC.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
