Kenneth Landon Davis, age 79, of Sophia died Sunday, January 31, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.
Mr. Davis was born October 15, 1936 the son of James Alfred and Gladys Elizabeth Crouch Davis. Kenneth was a native of Randolph County and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Wayne Transmission in Wayne, NJ. In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen Lewis, and his sister, Rachel Berry.
He is survived by his wife: Janice McCormick Davis; daughters: Tammy Menger and her husband Michael of Bloomingdale, NJ, Sheri Power and her husband Andrew of Little Falls, NJ, and Kimberly Kopack of Archdale; sons: Ernie Davis of Fort Walton Beach, FL., and Kenneth Davis of Toronto, OH.; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers: Donald Davis and his wife Margaret, Harold Davis and his wife Susan and David Davis, all of Sophia.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Karen C. Gobel officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
