Kenna Holt

Kenna Bays Holt, age 83, of Miami, Florida and formerly of Asheboro, NC passed away May 8, 2017.

She was born in Glen Morrison, West Virginia on July 25, 1933 to Kenneth and Wilda Bays. Kenna was a graduate of Sophia High School, graduated from the Medical College of Virginia Nursing School and became a Registered Nurse. She married Harold "Hank" Holt on January 23, 1954.

She worked as an RN in West Virginia, Chapel Hill, NC and Brian's Center, Asheboro. NC. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church from 1970 to 2009. She loved sewing, needlework, knitting and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Cullen and son-in-law Brian Cullen of Miami, FL; son, Pierce Holt of Apex; brothers: Neil Bays of WV and Jerry Bays of WV, sisters-in-law, Sandy Bays, Ann Bays, Theresa Bays and Joann Bays; nieces, Caroline, Mary, Lisa and Julie, and nephews Ken and Max.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 10:30-11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 505 S. Park St., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Doug Hefner officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
