Keith Richardson

Gary Keith Richardson, was born in Seagrove on September 16, 1930. He graduated from Seagrove High School in 1948. He joined the Navy on July 15, 1948 and was drafted into the Fleet Marines where he served one year on the front lines in Korea as a Hospital Corpsman. He was discharges on July 2, 1952. He then attended Asheboro Commercial College and worked for Union Carbide for 31 years. He attended Suggs Creek Church. He was active in the Seagrove Volunteer Fire Department, Little League Ball, never missed his family and class reunions, loved to help others, enjoyed his garden, and was always available to help his family who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents William Ernel and Ila Maness Richardson, his wife Erlene Poole Richardson, and stepson Geary Ledwell. He is survived by three daughters: Sue Deaton of Seagrove, NC, Celia Moody of Asheboro, NC, Lisa Robbins and her husband Tommy of Asheboro, NC and three sons: Richard Ledwell and his wife Linda of Candor, NC, Steven Richardson and his wife Sharon of Seagrove, NC, Robert Richardson of Seagrove, NC, grandchildren; John Ledwell; Donna Lee; Patricia Ledwell, Dema Cranford, Jodi Parks, Carey Deaton, Megan Brubaker, Kevin Richardson, Jessica Erlene Richardson, Justin Keith Payne, Corey Payne, and, McKenna Robbins; 11 great grandchildren and one sister: Kay Craven and her husband Sidney of Asheboro, NC The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday, January 25th at 2:00 PM at Hunt's Plank Road Chapel, Seagrove with Rev. Clay Davis officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph Honor Guard will be follow in Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Star.
