Kay Tichay, 93, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother took her leave to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013.
A graveside service to inter her ashes will be held later in upstate New York.
In addition to her parents Emily and Richard Fix, Kay was preceded in passing by her husband Howard P. Tichay, sister Wilma Smith, brother-in-law George N. Smith and brother-in-law Robert de Peyster.
Remaining family members include; sister Gladys de Peyster, son Eric P. Tichay and his wife Lorraine, daughter Kathleen Palmer and son-in-law Howard L. Palmer, grandson Jason A. Palmer, his wife Kim and step great grandson Daniel Harrell, great granddaughter Damanee Raven Palmer and her mother Jesse Hill. There are also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kay first Loved the Lord and her church. Her family was very important to her. She was a stay at home Mom, excellent at cooking and baking (especially apple pies), sewing and all types of crafts.
