Name for Heading: Kathy S. Cross ASHEBORO - Kathy Ann Sands Cross, age 52, of Asheboro died Friday, July 22, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Cross was born February 29, 1964 the daughter of Weldon Dixon and Betty Lou Farmer Sands. Kathy was a native of Rockingham County and is preceded in death by her father Weldon Dixon “Dickie” Sands. Kathy was a very selfless lady. She loved all of her family and each of them loved her. Kathy was a loving wife, mother and sister. Tina, one of Kathy’s sisters, was particularly close to Kathy and they shared with each other a lot of love and memories. Kathy also shared her love with Booboo, her dog which, in Kathy’s heart, was a part of the family. Kathy was the grounds keeper at Randolph Community College for about nine years and fully enjoyed sharing her love for the beauty of the outdoors with others through her work there. She was passionate about her job. There was nothing that Kathy didn’t enjoy doing with her family and friends or for them. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched with her love. She is survived by her husband: Jody Cross; two daughters: Hannah Cross and Amber Cross of Asheboro, NC; son: Philip Cross of Asheboro, NC; mother and her husband, Betty And Harry Bullins of Asheboro, NC; brothers: Stephen Sands of Asheboro, NC; Sammy Bullins of Asheboro, NC; Harry Lee Bullins of Stoneville, NC; sister and her husband: Tina and Robbie Morris of Level Cross, NC; sister and her husband: Judy and Robbie Goolsby of Stoneville, NC; and 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. No Funeral Service Is Planned.
