Kathryne White Brown

Kathryne White Brown, age 94, passed November 8, 2012 at in Maryville, Tennessee. She was a life long resident of Randolph County before moving to Maryville in 2004. Mrs. Brown was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Randleman, where she taught Sunday School in the children's department for over 30 years and was a member of United Methodist Women. Kathryne was also a charter member of Randleman Women's Club, charter member of Asheboro Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a retired accountant and former associate member of N.C. Society of Accountants. She also served as a trustee of Randleman Public Library. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband Hal M. Brown. She is survived by her daughter: Marilynn Pittard and her husband Sandy of Walland, Tn; son: Hal M. Brown, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Mission Viejo, Ca.; grandchildren: Andrew Pittard of Las Vegas, NV. and Miami, Fla., Jon Pittard of Austin, Tx., Jenna Brown and Justin Brown both of Mission Viejo, Ca.; brother: Clyde Graham White of Winston- Salem; nephew Graham White, II. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 9:30 - 10:45 am at First Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Randleman with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with Kyle Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Randleman, NC 27317 or Randleman Public Library, 122 Commerce Sq., Randleman, NC 27317.
