Kathryn LePore Owen

Kathryn LePore Owen, 63, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at home. She was surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 512 W. Wainman Ave., Asheboro with Father Christopher Davis officiating. Kathy was a native of Nyack, NY until 1986 when she moved to Asheboro, NC with her family. She retired from Randolph County Schools earlier this year where she served as a teacher assistant. Kathy is survived by her loving husband Kenneth B. Owen, daughter Kristen Owen Samples and her husband Bobby and their children Jarred and Kiran. Her sisters Janet Paccione and husband Stanley, Julie LePore, LuAnn Kelley and husband Jim, Christine Jones and husband Robert. Her brothers Michael LePore and wife Serena, Steven LePore and wife Jan. Her stepchildren Allison Williams and husband Danny and their children Crystal, April and Shannon, Lisa Decker and her children Jennifer, Samantha and Britnany. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Julius and Lucille LePore. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2008 from 7-9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Kathy will be missed by all that shared her life. The family would like to thank the Hospice staff for all of their excellent care, especially Melody Huggins, RN and Ann Brady, CNA. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204. Arrangements are being handled by Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
