Kathryn Allen Mashburn

Kathryn Allen Mashburn, age 85, of Elmcroft, Little Avenue, Charlotte died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 2210 Sharon Road, Charlotte. Mrs. Mashburn was born July 23, 1924 in Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of Barna and Henrietta (Bruton) Allen. She was a retired third grade teacher of the Montgomery County and Mecklenburg County School Systems and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Troy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Mashburn, Sr. She is survived by one daughter: Kathryn P. Mashburn of Charlotte; four sons: James A. Mashburn, Jr. of Sanford, Timothy W. Mashburn, David A. Mashburn and Jeffrey A. Mashburn, all of Huntersville; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A memorial graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Southside Cemetery, S Main St, Troy with Rev. Bobby Tyson officiating.
