Kathleen Dawkins Shaw, age 89, of 514 Vision Drive, Asheboro died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Carolina House of Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.Mrs. Shaw was a graduate of Mt. Gilead High School, where she was Valedictorian and was a graduate of Jones Business College in High Point. She was a retired bookkeeper with Pinehurst Textiles and was a member of First Baptist Church in Asheboro, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Diaconate. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Shaw, and her grandson, Kevin Pugh. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly S. Pugh and her husband Danny of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Kelly P. Hinebaugh and her husband Matt; great grandson, Logan Hinebaugh; and sister, Lucille D. Andrews of Asheboro, NC.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Pugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 133 N.
