Mary Kathleen McIntyre Almond of Asheboro went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy R. Kidd Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.Mrs. Almond was a native of Oakboro, NC who served her Lord for many years as a pastor's wife and a wonderful homemaker. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and an understanding friend to many. Mrs. Almond was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dewey Almond and son-in-law, Jimmy Flinchum. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Smith and her husband Gerald of Columbia, SC, Joyce Julian and her husband Phillip, Jewell Luther and her husband Melvin, Judy Flinchum all of Asheboro; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.The family will receive friends Friday, June 5, 2009 from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, other times at her residence.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
