Katherine Smith Kirkman

Katherine Smith Kirkman, age 77, of Asheboro died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mrs. Kirkman was born May 30, 1935 in Asheboro to Penn and Almeta Edwards Smith. She was a member of Hopewell Friends Meeting and was retired from Jockey International. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kirkman was preceded in death by her daughter, Pebble Jo Kirkman and sister, Bobbie Humble. We would to thank her for being such a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. We love you with all our hearts and will miss you dearly. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Kirkman; daughter, Rhonda Langley and her husband, Ross of Tarboro; son, Roman Kirkman and his wife Ashley of Greensboro; grandchildren, John and Markell Hunt, Bennett and Katherine Kirkman. The family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
