Kate Loflin Moore

Kate Loflin Moore, age 99, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House.

Mrs. Moore was born in Trinity, NC on June 2, 1920 to Sam and Pallie Nance Loflin. Kate was formerly employed with Randolph Hospital and was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moore, son, Don Moore, son-in-law, Ronnie Pugh, sisters, Bea Lambeth, Lois Shoffner, and Hazel Phillips, and brothers, Zell Loflin, Venson Loflin, and J.B. Loflin. Kate enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was a good cook, her specialty being cupcakes.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Pugh; daughter-in-law, Nancy Moore; grandsons, Kevin Pugh and wife Beth and Jeff Moore and wife Melissa; great grandchildren, Haylee Moore, and Alex and Logan Pugh; sister, Juanita Winslow; and brother, Troy Loflin.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
