Kate Little Brower, age 87, of Asheboro died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Brower was born in Randolph County on March 16, 1928 to Jim and Josie Luck Little. She was formerly employed with Tie Rite and was retired from Belk's. Kate was a member of Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church where she formerly worked in the church nursery. In addition to her parents, Kate was preceded in death by her husband James C. Brower, sister Grace Snyder, and brothers Buck and Fred Little.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Jackson and husband Charles of Carthage; son, Mike Brower and wife Angela of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jill Thomas and husband Chad, Katie Chapman and husband Tony, Dalton Brower, Codi Brower, Jennifer Gutierrez; great grandchildren, Gavin Thomas, Emerson Thomas, and Gabbie Gutierrez.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 10:30-11:30 am at Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church, 1734 Mack Rd., Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 12:00 noon at Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church with Dr. Edward E. Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her home following the committal service.
