Karen Sussett Snipes, age 40, of 3966 Meadow Ridge Ct., Asheboro died Monday, September 3, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randolph & Sandra Gonzales officiating. Burial will be held in Honduras. Mrs. Snipes was a native of Honduras and was a member of Cristo Nueva Vida in Ramseur, NC. She was employed with the McDonald's Corporation, where she worked her way up from an hour employee to McDonald's Regional Supervisor. She was awarded the Ray Kroc Award, an award that is presented to less than 1% of McDonald's employees worldwide. She is survived by her husband, George Terrill Snipes; daughters, Karen Funez, Lilia Funez, and Nicole Snipes; parents; Jose Navarro and Gladys Castejon of Honduras; brother and sister-in-law, Jose and Marcela de Navarro of Honduras; sister, Monica Navarro of Honduras; grandmother, Susana de Castejon of Honduras; aunt, Mary Castejon of Siler City, NC; cousins, Patricia Lopez and her husband Jorge and their family of Siler City, NC, Raul Castejon of Siler City, NC, and Ceasar Castejon of Siler City, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home.
