Karen Anne Durham

Karen Anne Burgess Durham, age 61, of 712 Britt Avenue, Asheboro died Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Randolph Hospice House. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Asheboro First Wesleyan Church, 825 Highland St., Asheboro with Rev. Mark C. Beane and Rev. A.J. Kendrick officiating. Karen was a native of Randolph County. She was a graduate of the Washington, DC Nursing Academy and Winston-Salem State University. She attended Asheboro First Wesleyan Church. Karen was formerly employed with Drs. Davis and Adams, OB-GYN, Randolph County EMS, and Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, and was most recently employed with the North Carolina Prison System. She is survived by her son, Ashley "Brooks" Durham of Dothan, AL; sister, Kathy Burgess Allen and her husband Mike of Asheboro, NC; and nephew, Brandon Allen of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
