Karen Marie Brown, age 63, of Asheboro went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Alpine Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
Karen was born October 23, 1956 the daughter of Roy Clayton and Virginia Lee Lowdermilk Brown. She was a member at Franklinville Wesleyan Church. Karen received her high school diploma in 1978 from Thom's Rehabilitation Center. She loved to sing, make people smile and share God's love. Karen never knew a stranger for long because she would always ask your first, middle, and last name. She was an inspiration to all that met her. Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Lee Lowdermilk Brown.
She is survived by her father, Roy Clayton (Betty) Brown of Asheboro; sister, Susan Brown (Phillip) Hogan of Asheboro; nieces, Stephanie (Richard) Kinton, Rebecca (A.J.) Odom; great nieces and nephews, Daegon Wayne Kinton, Bannon Nathaniel Kinton, Adalynne Virginia Kinton, John Michael Odom, and Penelope Marie Odom
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Giles officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Bethel Friends Meeting Cemetery, Asheboro.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Alpine Health Administration and Staff for allowing the family to be with Karen in her final days before going to her heavenly home.
