Jyl Lyn Rice

Jyl Lyn Bartlett Rice, age 61, of Sophia died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 1109 McDowell Rd., Asheboro with Bishop Dale Cox officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Rice was born in Summersville, MO on June 10, 1952 to George and Gladys Cardo Bartlett, who preceded her in death. She was a former resident of Iowa and had lived in North Carolina since 1986. Jyl enjoyed fishing and was known for her pleasant smile. She is survived by her husband, Mike Rice; sons, Jonathan Rice and his wife Virginia of Asheboro, Daniel Rice of Sophia, Adam Rice and his wife Kimberly of Randleman; grandchildren, Amy, Hunter, Hayleigh, and Hannah; and brothers, Barry Bartlett of Orem, UT and Jan Bartlett of Virginia Beach, VA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
