Justin Matthew "Matt" McKinnon

Justin Matthew "Matt" McKinnon, age 32, of Asheboro, passed away on January 25, 2018 at his home. Matt was a native of Asheboro. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Marie McKinnon and Dow Ragland. Matt loved music, was an avid reader, and was very creative. He was a great son and brother and a very loyal friend to the underdog. Matt is survived by his parents, Tony and Pamela McKinnon of Asheboro; brother, Michael "Trike" McKinnon and wife Elizabeth of Raleigh; grandmother, Carol Nolan of Asheboro; girlfriend, Heather Birchall of Asheboro; and extended family, Jacqueline Lippard and husband Dave, Nathan Lippard, Cobey, Stephanie, and Grayson Cox, Robin, Carol, Alex, and Graycen Turner, Brianna Southerlin, Dave and Abraham Perdue, Devon, and Katlyn Adkins, and the family of Jean Medlin. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 133 South Church St., Asheboro with Dr. Scotty Carpenter officiating.
