June Williamson Plott, 80, of 357 Birdie Place in Asheboro died peacefully at home and went to her place in Heaven on February 6, 2013.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 8th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A service to celebrate her life will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 9th at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Later in the afternoon there will be a graveside service at Lexington City Cemetery. Dr. John Rogers of First Baptist Church Asheboro will officiate the services.
June was born September 22, 1932, in Davidson County, to Ernest James Williamson and Toey Eller Williamson. She married James F. Plott in 1952 and they were blessed with three sons: Phil, Greg, and Tim. She loved her husband, her boys, her grandchildren, her extended family, and all her many friends.
She enjoyed playing golf, UNC sports, spending family time at Oak Island, playing bridge, worshiping at First Baptist Church, and cooking and baking delicious meals and desserts for her family and friends. She retired from First Citizens Bank in Greensboro as a Vice President.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sarah Williamson; and her oldest grandson, Jonathan Plott.
Remembering her in love are her husband, Jim Plott; her sons and their wives, Phil and Sarah Plott of Charlotte; Greg and Leah Plott of Washington, DC; and Tim and Shelley Plott of Portland, Oregon; and grandchildren: Dana, Maria, Samantha, Taylor, Colby, Drew, James, and Hannah; and great grandchild, Jayden.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided by Kenita Matthews with Randolph Hospital and also the care provided by Wendy New.
