Julie Cook Maness-Adams, age 55, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at her daughters' home in Staley.
Julie was born in Poplar Bluff, MO on February 4, 1966 to Paul Gene and Alice Elnora Johnson Cook and grew up in Dexter, MO. In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her first husband, William "Bill" Maness, brothers, Ted Cook, Michael Cooksey, and Timothy Cooksey, and nephew, Bradley Wiggins. Julie loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved working with disabled people. Julie had a beautiful smile and blue eyes. Her favorite color was purple.
She is survived by her husband, Darwin Adams; daughters, Alicia "Ali" Bowman (Sam) of Staley, Amber Moore of Bear Creek, and Hannah Maness (fiancé Ivan Aquirre) of Seagrove; grandchildren, Lily and Aiden Moore; stepchildren, Megan and Kevin Adams; brothers, Ron Cook of St. Joseph, MO and Dennis Cook (Jan) of Antioch, TN; and sisters, Gala Bonner (Buddy) of Bartlett, TN and Kimberley Wiggins (Terry) of Bartlett, TN.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Kimberley Wiggins officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and masks are required.
