Julia H. Saunders

Julia H. Saunders, age 85, of 2925 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Carillon Assisted Living of Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Saunders was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Franklinville High School and had worked in the textile industry over the years. She loved plants, gardening and trips to the beach. She is survived by sons Robert Saunders, Jr. and his wife Vivian, Ronald Saunders and his wife Donna; brothers Donald Henley and his wife Barbara, Joseph Henley and his wife Ruby; sister, Cletus Wilson; grandchildren, Clifford Saunders and his wife Caroline, Tammy Harrison and her husband John, Stacey Saunders, Deborah Hunt and her husband Brent, Thomas Saunders; great grandchildren, Clifford Jr., Amber, Christian and Shara Saunders, John Jr., Jessica, Joshua and Julia Harrison, Christian and Samantha Contreras, Brittany, Nancy and Jennifer Hunt; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, April 11, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, other times at the home of Cletus Wilson, Henley Country Rd., Asheboro. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Carillon Assisted Living of Asheboro and Hospice of Randolph.
