Judith Gayle Hancock Ragel, age 77, of Asheboro, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, she was the daughter of Leonard F. Hancock and Dorothy Powers Hancock. A member of Mt. Tabor Community Church, she had served as the pianist. She retired from Arrow Manufacturing. She is survived by one daughter: Angie Cox and her husband Randy of Asheboro NC, one sister: Susan H. Hoover and her husband Eddie of Asheboro, NC, one brother: John Hancock and his wife Janice of Asheboro, NC, and granddaughter, Ellen Kendrick of Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27, 2016 one hour prior to the service at Mt. Tabor Community Church, 1269 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at Mt. Tabor Community Church, with Pastor Stephen Stowe officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Community Church Cemetery, Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215-3220
