Juanita Lee Simmons Laughlin, age 89, of Randleman went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 13, 2019.
Mrs. Laughlin was born April 10, 1930 in Paint Bank, VA the daughter of Vernon and Stella Thompson Simmons. She was a great cook, known for her biscuits and had a great sense of humor. Juanita loved working in her yard, gardening, growing her flowers, and raking leaves. She was a member at Living Waters Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Juanita is preceded in death by her sons, Sam Laughlin, Jr., and Timmy Laughlin; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years: Sam Laughlin; daughters, Wanda Cox and husband Lee of High Point, Eva Hussey of Level Cross; son, Tony Laughlin and wife Amy of Randleman; grandchildren, Sherry Foster and husband Marvin, Archie Moore and wife Antria, Carolyn Myers and husband Billy, Bobby Moore, Johnny Hussey and wife Phanya, Tina Klein and husband Blake; 10 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; siblings, Kathy Pritt and husband Tommy, June Simmons, and Jimmy Simmons and wife Kay all of VA.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery, 10142 U.S. Hwy. 220 Bus. N., Randleman with Rev. Joey Miller officiating.
