Juanita Mason Jessup

Juanita Dare Mason Jessup, age 82, formerly of Carolina Avenue, Asheboro died Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating. Burial will follow in Farmer Cemetery. Mrs. Jessup was born March 11, 1926 the daughter of the late Albert and Viola Ashworth Mason. She was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and was one of seven children. Juanita was a loving and caring mother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Jessup Cole, husband, Fred Martin Jessup, brothers, Robert and James Mason, and sister, Mattie Burke. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Rollins of Asheboro, NC and Robin Shepherd of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Shannon Horvath of Memphis, TN, Mike Rollins of Charlotte, NC, Danley Shepherd of Raleigh, NC, Temple Shepherd of Raleigh, NC and Ridge Shepherd of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Florence Lucas of Asheboro, NC, Rachel Miller of Asheboro, NC and Ruth Bray of Asheboro, NC and brother-in-law, Bill Burke of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday March 21, 2008 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
