Joyce "Elaine" Weaver

Joyce "Elaine" Prevette Weaver, age 74, of Troy, NC, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Biscoe, NC.

Mrs. Weaver was born June 17, 1943 at Greensboro, NC the daughter of the late Eli and Era Lee (Pardue) Prevette.

She was employed as a Bank Teller at the Bank of Montgomery, now known as First Bank for 30 years.

She is survived by two sons: Ron (Dedie) Weaver of Troy, NC and Ryan (Kennetha) Weaver of Newton, NC; two sisters, Dorry(Ray) Mathis of Jonesville, NC and Karen P.(Leonard) Baity of N. Wilkesboro, NC; 5 grandchildren, Aaron Weaver, Jordan Weaver, Hannah Weaver, Morgan Weaver, and Allison Weaver.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC.  Funeral service will be Monday October 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Troy, 401 E. Main Street, Troy, NC with Rev. Jeffrey Hartman officiating. Burial will be held Monday, October 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 3982 Clingman Rd. Ronda, NC.
