Joyce Ann "Annie" Jessup

Joyce Ann "Annie" Luck Jessup, age 81, of Asheboro died Friday, October 13, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Mrs. Jessup was born July 15, 1936 the daughter of Hueston Curtis and Mittie Irene Parks Luck.

Mrs. Jessup was a native of Troy, NC, graduated from Asheboro High School in 1954 and was a lifelong seamstress working for Shapiro & Shapiro for many years. She also served as hostess at Little Texas Seafood and Pier 64 restaurants. She was a charter member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, earned her certification in Early Childcare Education and Development from Randolph Community College and was recognized in the Who's Who in America's Junior Colleges Journal. She was also an award-winning Avon sales representative for many years. Joyce loved a good yard sale. Her family was the light of her life and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Noel Thomas Jessup, sons: Bill and Greg Jessup, great grandson: Jayden Montgomery and siblings: Cliff and Will Luck, Margaret Maness and Dorothy McBride.

She is survived by: daughter and her husband: Gindy and Phillip Taylor of Salisbury, NC; daughter and her husband: Margaret and Keith Trogdon of Asheboro, NC; daughter and her husband: Miranda and Doug Murph of Randleman, NC; daughter and her husband: Kim and Kelly Hill of Pleasant Garden, NC; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister: Mary Cox of Ramseur, NC; sister and her husband, Peggy and Ron Bailey of Seagrove, NC; sister: Irma Stone of Asheboro, NC; sister and her husband: Carol and Robert Maness of Asheboro, NC; brother and his wife: Bobby and Bonnie Luck of Asheboro, NC

The family will receive friends Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Randy Browder and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. The family will gather at the home of Bobby and Bonnie Luck following the committal service.
