Joyce Jarrell Hamilton

Joyce Jarrell Hamilton, age 90, of Randleman passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem.

Mrs. Hamilton was born in Randolph County, NC on July 13, 1928 to Lester Glenn and Verda Madeline Moody Jarrell and was a 1947 graduate of Asheboro High School. Joyce was formerly employed with J.C. Penney, Belk's, and Miller and Rhodes. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church in Randleman. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Hamilton, son, Charles Dexter Hamilton, grandson, Michael Jay Hamilton, and brother, Glenn Donald Jarrell.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Hamilton and wife Kathie of Rock Hill, SC; grandson, Tommy Lee "T.L." Hamilton and wife Adena; great grandchildren, Christian M. Wells, Breanna M. Hines, Michael D. Hamilton, Katelyn N. Hines and her son, Kayden Donovan, and Tammy L. Hamilton; nieces, Belinda Prentice and husband Tom, and Lisa Jarrell; and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Davis officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
