Joyce Ann Garner

Joyce Ann Baker Garner, age 72, of Randleman died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.

Mrs. Garner was born June 16, 1945 the daughter of Otha Ray and Emma Lee (Ashworth) Baker. Joyce was a native of Lee County and moved to Randolph County in 1974. She had the joy of being a homemaker, which gave her great pleasure in serving her family whom she deeply loved. Joyce was a woman of God with strong faith. She was free hearted and would give anything she had to those in need. Joyce enjoyed traveling, antiques and loved NASCAR Racing and an avid fan of Richard Petty.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Maddaline and brother, Edward Barker.

She is survived by her husband: Clarence Ray Garner of the home; daughter: Sherrie Garner Ware (Joel) of Brown Summit; sons: Clarence Garner, Jr. (Mary) of Randleman and Chad Garner (Michelle) of Randleman; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister: Ethelene Weaver of AL.; brother, Truby Lee Baker of Sanford.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 23, 2017 from 12:30-1:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
