Joyce Allred Davis

Joyce Allred Davis, age 75, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro.

Mrs. Davis was born in Moore County on April 1, 1943 to Dewey and Emily Bruce Allred.  She was retired from Davis Unique Properties and was a member of Faith Alliance Church in Asheboro.  In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ray Davis, brothers, Jerry Allred, Merlin "Red" Allred, Larry Allred, J.D. Allred, and Felton Allred, and sister, Evelyn King.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Maness and husband Jimmy of Asheboro; son, Terry Davis and fiancée Kim Winslow Mullis of Badin Lake; grandchildren, Trevor and Kaylee Maness, and Taylor and Kelsey Davis; sisters, Dorothy Garner of Robbins, Brenda Allred of Seagrove, and Libby Garner of Cape Carteret; and brother, David “Corkey” Allred of Robbins.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Road Baptist Church, 1566 Old Cox Road, Asheboro with Pastor Johnny R. Henderson and Chaplain Myron Kidd officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Memorial Gardens.
