Joy Faye Porter, 75, peacefully passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Pugh and her husband of 35 years Charles L. Porter. She is survived by her husband Stedman Brown, her only daughter Tori Miller and her husband Mickey Davis and her fur baby Harley.
She retired from Randolph Electric after 33 years of service. Once she retired, she traveled the world. Her most recent trip was 6 months in Alaska, in an Airstream camper. She was an active member of the NC Piedmont Airstream Club. She was an incredible person who loved and served God all her life.
She volunteered at many church ministries, helping with Hope's Kitchen at North Myrtle Beach. She was affiliated with many different churches around North Carolina and South Carolina.
A family and friend visitation will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. A second memorial service will be held at N. Myrtle Beach at a later date.
