Josie Vester Lee Tolbert of 632 Woodland Circle, Asheboro died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Hughes and Rev. Clay Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.Mrs. Tolbert was a native of Kings Mountain, NC and was retired from GE and Black & Decker. She was a member of Asbury Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Reece Tolbert. Josie loved the Atlanta Braves and had many friends at Jed's Barbecue and Jugtown Cafe. She is survived by her son, Tommy Reece Tolbert and his wife Janice of Mt. Gilead, NC; daughter, Wendy Tolbert Green and her husband Leon of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Michael Tolbert of Asheville, NC, Jason Tolbert and his wife Adrienne of Asheboro, NC, Jo Beth Green Shaw and her husband Lyndon of Asheboro, NC, Jessica Gail Greene of Charleston, SC, formerly of Asheboro, NC; and sister, Janie Poole of Asheboro, NC.The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 12 noon-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
