Josephine Laura Gee

Josephine Laura Gee, age 98, of 4045 Earnhardt Rd., Asheboro died Monday, January 3, 2011 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Gee was a native of Toledo, Ohio and took her first airplane ride when she was 16 in a Jenney. She worked in retail sales for her entire life and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mrs. Gee took pride in her baking and had recipes published in California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gee, son, Byard Gee, niece, Lillian Finney, sister, Mabel and brother, Floyd. Mrs. Gee was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Saverstrom and her husband Per of Ormond Beach, FL, Beverly Sharrock and her husband Darrell of Apple Valley, CA, Nancy Graves of Hisperia, CA; son, Joseph Gee and his wife Diane of Asheboro, NC; daughter in law, Ann Gee of Fountain Inn, SC; great niece, Janice Eckel of Perrysburg, OH; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Lake Township Cemetery in Ohio. Arrangements by Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro
