Joseph Paul Morgan

Joseph Paul Morgan, age 57, of 1404 S. Salisbury Ave., Spencer died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Marshburn officiating. Inurnment will be in the Siloam United Methodist Church Cemetery in Denton with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Morgan was a native of Randolph County, was a U.S. Army veteran, and was retired from the NC Department of Transportation. Joe was preceded in death by his father, John Ervin Morgan and his sister, Deborah Morgan Timmons. He is survived by his daughters, Tracey Morgan of Asheboro, NC, Angela Hoover of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Brett Varner, Madison Varner, Kelsey Hoover, McKenna Hoover, and Tyler Hoover all of Asheboro, NC; mother, Mary Morgan of Denton, NC; sister, Darlene Morgan of High Point, NC; and brother, Jackie Morgan of Denton, NC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the homes of his daughters.
