Joseph R. Lemons

Joseph R. Lemons, age 76, of 1743 Randall Street, Asheboro died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mr. Lemons was born August 27, 1932 the son of Duncan and Stella Caviness Lemons. Joe was a life-long resident of Randolph County and retired from NC Department of Transportation in the bridge maintainence division. He was an expert in home improvement, able to do any remodeling task. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Lou Lemons and his son: Jason Lemons. He is survived by: son and his wife, Rev. Barry and Donna Lemons of Advance, NC; daughter and her fiance, Donna Kennedy and Nick Horner of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Joshua Lemons of Boone, NC; granddaughter, Caroline Lemons of Advance, NC; granddaughter, Meredith Thompson of Greensboro, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Kristen and Alex Sports of San Diego, CA; sister: Dot Bulla of Nashville, TN; half sister and her friend, Cindy Lemons and Alan Underwood of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday, August 17, 2009 at 4:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev Rhonda Hartweg officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
