Joseph "Joe" Rich Hunt

Joseph Rich "Joe" Hunt, age 60, of Seagrove died Friday, April 3, 2015 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy. Mr. Hunt was born April 2, 1955 the son of Coy Hunt and Mildred Hunt. Mr. Hunt was a native of Randolph County and was employed by W. O. Grubb Construction in Richmond, VA as a structural engineer. A 14 year veteran of the US Army, Joe, Sgt. 1st Class in the Special Forces 8th Infantry - Surveyor, loved serving his country. He loved being with his family, spending time outdoors and looking at cars. He is survived by his wife: Ronda Cooper Hunt; daughter: Jamie Kirby and her husband, Kenny of Concord, VA, and their children: Lauren and Madeline Kirby; two step-children: Cali Wilkins of the home, Ashley and her husband, Jay Greene; and their children: Damian, Jordan, Evan and Jackson Greene all of Trinity; mother: Mildred Hunt of Asheboro; The family will receive friends Monday, April 6, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Drew McIntyre officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Randolph County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family request, memorials made to Randolph SPCA, 300 West Bailey Street, Asheboro, NC 27203
