Johnsie R. Hilliard

Johnsie Rowland Hilliard, age 73, of 516 Wallace Ave. Apt. # 12B, Troy died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Johnsie was born February 18, 1940 at Concord, NC the daughter of Henry and Hazel Rowland. Prior to her retirement, she was a former cafeteria employee and school bus driver for Montgomery County Schools, a certified nursing assistant at Montgomery Memorial Hospital for 20+ years and a deli employee at Food King of Troy. In addition to her parents, Johnsie is preceded in death by her husband, Jerald Albert Hilliard and son, Keith Hilliard. She is survived by one son: Gerald (Jay) Franklin Hilliard of Star; 3 grandchildren; one sister: Marlene Wall of Concord. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. A memorial graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Southside Cemetery, S Main St, Troy with Dr. Rev. Harold Pope and Rev. Scott Christy officiating.
